Dahisar-Bhayander Elevated Road is going to be constructed by the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) for fast travel from Dahisar to Bhayandar. For this project, big companies like L&T, J. Kumar and Fcon have shown interest by filling tenders. The job will be awarded to the company that submits the lowest bid.

The cost of this project is about INR 3,000 crores. The work will begin next year and the route is targeted to be completed by 2026. This will make travel from Dahisar to Bhayandar possible in 15 to 20 minutes.

While travelling from Mumbai to Gujarat including Vasai, Virar, Palghar, motorists have to face massive traffic jams between Dahisar and Bhayander. In order to get rid of this and make fast travel without hindrance, the civic body has decided to construct the Dahisar-Bhayander elevated road in association with the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority and the Mira-Bhayander Municipal Corporation.

The route will be from Kandarpada Metro Station in Dahisar West to Uttan in Bhayandar West. Tenders were invited for this in October 2022. After that, the deadline was extended several times. After repeated extensions, the deadline was finally given by July 11.
