Indian-American Firm Wants to Invest USD 500 Billion into India’s Infrastructure

A little known firm named Landomus Realty Ventures has made an appeal to Prime Minister Narendra Modi through a newspaper ad saying the company wants to invest $500 billion in the form of equity into India’s National Infrastructure Pipeline (NIP). 

“Landomus Realty Ventures Inc., USA, would like to invest USD 500 Billion in Equity as the First Phase of the USD 2 Trillion investment under Build India into the National Infrastructure Pipeline (NIP) and Non-NIP projects listed by the Government of India under the India Investment Grid for 'Invest India' initiative,” Landomus Group Chairman, Pradeep Kumar Satyaprakash was quoted as saying in the ad.

The company has said that it will support projects in sectors like transport, manufacturing, energy, agriculture, water and sanitation among others. Satyaprakash also said that Landomus is looking to aid the completion of NIP and non-NIP projects with developers and investors. 

The company has a single-page website and does not offer a lot of information on the group. Mamatha HN, Yashas Pradeep Kumar, Rakshith Gangadhar, and Gunashree Pradeep Kumar are listed as the company’s directors.  

NIP was announced by the Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman in December 2019. As per the Central Government’s projections, FY20-25 will see a total investment of ₹111 lakh crores under NIP.
