In a city like Mumbai, there are various mobile phone shops at every corner of a street which makes it difficult for an individual to find out about the quality of the service provided by these shops. But the good news is that soon, the city will receive its first-of-its-kind shopping mall for only mobile phones. A sole mall for smartphone and smartphone accessory sellers alone will soon be in the works at Grant Road East.

As per a DNA report, Tabrez Shaikh of Rubberwala Housing and Infrastructure Ltd from Grant Road has been planning to bring a location for the mobile as well as mobile accessory sellers. After several meetings with various builders, Shaikh found success in his plan and agreed to build an exclusive mall altogether.

The mall has been named ‘The Platinum’ and has a capacity of 1,000 shops. Out of which, 750 have already been sold and further, a special clause will be included in the project to ensure the exclusivity.

The mall which is under construction is being made keeping in mind the requirements of the mobile shop owners and mobile accessories shop owners. There are three basement floor, meant for parking, even for the visitors so that the roads aren't affected. There will be ample space for loading and unloading of trucks inside the mall," Shaikh told DNA.

The mall will come as a huge boost for the tech-savvy people across the city who are forced to roam across Mumbai to find the perfect product for themselves. This will also convert Grant Road into a hub for smartphones just like specialised markets across the city like the cloth market in Kalbadevi, the jewel market in Zaveri Bazaar etc.
