A worker was injured when a pillar collapsed two weeks ago during the work of Dahisar-Andheri Metro-7 project.

After the accident, the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) has held the contractor responsible for the incident and a penalty of INR 5 lakh has been imposed.

On October 21, a pillar collapsed on the Metro-7 track between Goregaon and Aarey.

Because it was Bhaiduj, the number of workers were less at the site and that’s the reason not many people were hurt and a single worker was injured.

MMRC investigated the case after this incident and contractor J.Kumar was penalised INR 5 lakh.
