Ghatkopar to Versova metro commuters can heave a sigh of relief as Mumbai Metropolitan Regional Development Authority (MMRDA) is planning to construct additional entry and exit gates at Ghatkopar metro station. This gate will help commuters who alight and board metro from Ghatkopar metro station.

Every day, 3.80 lakh people commute via the metro. Usually, these commuters board metro to reach Andheri, BKC or Airport. However, commuters who travel from Ghatkopar metro station have only one bridge to reach metro which is always crowded. MMRDA is working on the probability of constructing additional entry and exit gates.

Passengers mostly use this bridge to go from east to west at Ghatkopar station which leads to more crowd. Because of the crowd, in the morning and evening time, commuters take 10 to 15 minutes to cross the bridge.
