MMRDA allots Rs. 3210 crores for Metro projects

Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority announced the budget of Rs. 6,976.50 crores out of which Rs. 3,210 crores have been allocated to Metro project. MMRDA’s president and CM Devendra Fadnavis gave nod to the budget.


“MMRDA is planning to redevelop BKC as a smart city for which Rs. 75 crores will be spent. While Rs. 300 crores will be spent on water resources project which will provide water to the villages. The work will start this month. Also, Rs. 700 crores will be used for the projects which come under MMR region,” said UPS Madan, MMRDA commissioner.

1. Metro 2 (D N Nagar to Dahisar) – Rs. 1000 crores
2. Metro 2 B (D N Nagar to Mandale) – Rs. 200 crores
3. Metro 4 (Wadala- Ghatkopar- Thane- Kasarwadavli) – Rs. 200 crores
4. Metro 5 (Thane – Bhiwandi – Kalyan) – Rs. 5 crores
5. Metro 6 (Kanjurmarg Samarthnagar – JVLR- Seepz- Vikhroli)- Rs. 5 crores
6. Metro 7 (Andheri to Dahisar) – Rs. 1000 crores
7. Metro 3 (Colaba – Bandra- Seepz) – Rs. 800 crores
