Nitin Gadkari shares information on the proposed National Highway projects in Maharashtra

Minister Gadkari took to Twitter to inform that the Centre has approved the budget for several projects which will improve the road connectivity across several districts in the state.

Union Road Transport Minister, Nitin Gadkari, on Thursday, April 1, 2021, took to Twitter to share information on the road construction work being conducted across various districts of Maharashtra. His series of tweets included information about the plans which were approved for NH753-J, NH166-E, NH353-C, NH 752 and many others.

The Minister used the 'Pragati Ka Highway' and said, "Rehabilitation and upgradation of Jalgaon-Bhadraon-Chalisgaon-Nandgaon-Manmad Road on NH 753 J to two-lane/four-lane has been approved with a budget 252 Cr."

Minister Gadkari also mentioned that the proposed NH166-E from Guhaar to Chipul Road has been approved. The budget of INR 171 crore has been sanctioned. Meanwhile, the construction of a total of 16 minor and major bridges will soon begin as INR 282 crore budget has been sanctioned for the project which also includes the upgradation of NH353-C. This National Highway which earlier spanned 262 km will now be extended to 321 km.

 On the other hand, the Centre has also approved INR 228 crore and INR 282 crore to upgrade the proposed two-lane project on NH752 from Watur to Charthana, and NH753 from Tirora to Gondia, respectively.

 NH166-G leading to Kolhapur from Tarere will also be upgraded at a cost of INR 167 crore. Meanwhile, officials in Nagpur will also begin working on a four-lane road at Wadi/MIDC Junction and the proposed flyover connecting Nagpur University Campus from Nagpur RTO Chowk.

Commuters travelling across Nanded district's Yesgi village will also breathe a sigh of relief as a new bridge will soon be built across the Manjra river making their travelling easy. As per Minister Gadkari's tweet, a budget of INR 188.69 crore has been approved for the bridge which has been planned on NH63.

Furthermore, INR 239.24 crore and INR 224.44 crore have been approved for the proposed upgradation of NH543 and NG361F respectively.
