Mumbai - Bombay High Court has passed a rule that it is against the law to move into flats without the mandatory occupancy certificate (OC). Slum Rehabilitation Authority (SRA) has breached that rule, as 35,000 flat owners don't have occupancy certificate. Even then they have to submit electricity bills, water bills and house tax. Flat owners expressed their angst against SRA and finally, the process of granting OC will kickstart soon informed Vishwas Patil, CEO (SRA).
The process will commence from 7 March, a definite department has been set up to in regard to this. Flat owners will receive OC assured SRA.
