Chembur - Some people residing in Gaondevi locality in Chembur are duped this way. In 2006, a private developer had secured space from local residents by promising them their dream home in a posh building. The builder demolished their houses and since then they are residing in rented houses. But…the residents are now annoyed as they are receiving rent after a gap of five-six months. The work on this project has not been started even after 10 years. This angered the beneficiaries who took out a morcha on the office of the developer who assured to start project work soon.
"Concerned residents are affected due to disputes among developers. How many more years they will have to wait for their dream home is the real question," said Kumar Gaikwad, a local resident.
