Considering the increasing pressure on public transport services like road transport, railways and metro in the Mumbai metropolitan region, it is necessary to develop 'cable car' services in the future. For that, it is necessary to survey this project and prepare a development plan. For this, Transport Minister Pratap Sarnaik informed that he will meet Union Road Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari and present the requirements of this project to him.


Sarnaik said that he will make this demand in the Transport Minister's meeting chaired by Nitin Gadkari in New Delhi in order to achieve the target ofHe also said that the central government intends to develop a ropeway under the 'Parvatmala project' the ambitious project 'Vikasit Bharat 2047'. or through the financial partnership of the central and state governments to implement the 'cable car' project in the Mumbai metropolitan area.
