Work of Metro 3 begins in Wadala’s casting yard

Aarey car depot, deforestation, afforestation, loud sound, rehabilitation, is coming in the way of Metro 3 project. But Mumbai Metro Rail Corporation Ltd is hell-bent on completing the project. On the lines of which, tunnel ring is being prepared at Wadala’s casting yard and this work was inaugurated by Ashiwini Bhide, MD, MMRCL.

The work of tunnel rings is going on in Wadala’s four and Aarey's six casting yard. 40,000 tunnel ring segments will be made for 33.5 km route. Along with this, MMRC has started bringing on rolling stock that is a metro car. Bhide added that safety for women will be taken care of in Metro 3 project.
