BKC- And they did it. 1900 women at the Jio gardens at the Bandra Kurla Complex created a new Guinness record by holding the plank position for 60 seconds. This was a Puma initiative wherein actress Jacqueline Fernandez, Kalki Koechlin, model Ujjwala Raut and Sakshi Malik also joined in to create history.
It was Sunday afternoon and so many women were rushing towards the Jio Gardens at BKC. 1900 of them and there is no shopping carnival or kitty party but they were all driven by one goal to achieve a new high in fitness and to create a Guinness World Record by holding the abdominal plank for 60 seconds. This was a Puma initiative to celebrate women power.
If you think it was all work and no play, have a look at them. They were joined by celebrities who participated in the event sportingly.
And finally Guinness world records authorities gave their nod and history was created. Mumbai women returned home with their heads held high and a certificate in their hands which will always remind them of this proud moment.
