The largest theatrical producer in the world, Cirque du Soleil is coming to India and will perform in Mumbai!

As a part of the ‘Visit Maharashtra’ tourism initiative, the state government has encouraged the Canadian group to come down to India and perform at MMRDA Grounds.

State Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis announced this on Monday after meeting Finn Taylor, Senior Vice President of Touring Shows of Cirque du Soleil while he was in Montreal as a part of his eight-day tour. The dates of the show are yet to be declared.

Cirque du Soleil has an annual turnover of USD 1 billion and an annual sale of 10-million tickets. The troupe has produced iconic acts such as KÀ, Corteo and the classic Mystère. It is known for its unique acts and their mystically surreal sets.

According to officials, the initiative will not only boost tourism in the state but also serve as a golden opportunity for the Mumbaikars to get acquainted with a unique cultural experience.
