Prabhadevi- Researcher-critic Dr Usha Madhav Deshmukh will be honoured with the Gyanba Tukaram Puraskar 2015-16 on 17 November. This award comprises a cash prize of Rs 5,00,000, certificate and trophy . State culture minister Vinod Tawde had announced Deshmukh as the recepient of the award, on the occasion of Ashadhi Ekadashi this year. The award will be given to Dr Deshmukh by Father Francis DeBrito at the Ravindra Natya Mandir, Prabhadevi at 6.30 pm. Other cultural programmes have been lined up for the event as well.
