Food is an inevitable element of our living, along with a balanced diet it is necessary to have a nutritious diet. 

Eating unhealthy food reduces our immunity, energy levels and contributes to many health problems. In order to slowly eliminate unhealthy or processed food items from the state, Union Ministry of Women and Child Development has organized the ‘Women of Indian Organic Festival 2018’. This is the first Mumbai edition the festival, a small initiative to promote organic and healthy eating to have a well nurtured future generation. The festival provides a platform for a large number of women at work and also attain its target of having an organic state.

B-town beauty Juhi Chawla is the Brand Ambassador for the Women of Indian Organic Festival. Speaking about the festival Juhi said, “The festival is intended to highlight the health and environmental advantages of organic goods. It’s high time that we should start buying organic food, we can’t keep feeding ourselves and our children foodstuff which is either processed or layered with pesticides. I thought this was the great initiative by the ministry as our environment is one of my priorities and therefore decided to support the cause.”

Bollywood celebrities like Jackie Shroff, Tanuja Mukherjee, Tanisha Mukherjee, Madhoo Shah also came on board to support Juhi in this cause. The festival is organized from March 16 to March 20 at the World Trade Centre in Mumbai, which will have participants from Maharashtra, Gujarat, Sikkim, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Kerala, Arunachal Pradesh, Andra Pradesh, Jharkhand, Assam, Kashmir, Telangana, Nagaland, Mizoram, Meghalaya, Chhattisgarh, and Manipur. Along with Organic food products such as cereals, rice, pulses, spices, pickles, organic ice cream, oil, tea, solar products, honey and organic seeds; other bioproducts like beauty care and skin will also be on sale in several exotic varieties.
