As the Covid 19 pandemic has begun to show signs of recovery and the euphoria around the vaccination has kicked in, a quirky and funny new music video captures our experiences of surviving the global lockdown perfectly.  Renowned filmmaker Abhishek Sharma, who has directed films like Tere Bin Laden, Parmanu, The Zoya Factor and Suraj Pe Mangal Bhari has produced ’When It’s All Over’, a timely music video by singer and lyricist Ramzing. Directors Ritesh Varma and Aniruddha Khanwilkar have directed this catchy song and to add to the post lockdown charm, Aniruddha has also acted in this video.

Right from over-eating, to living alone and dreaming up super parties with friends once lockdowns would lift and vaccination would begin, this video will connect with young people across India. Abhishek Sharma said, “COVID era that began in 2020 reminded me of 9/11 in many ways. The world as we knew it changed suddenly with this pandemic...When I heard this fantastic song by Ramzing, it was like a call to arms! I had to bring it out in the world. I loved the positive spin to the pandemic as it talks about hope and it does so in a funny way…It’s a musical narrative that dreams about going back to normalcy. We had very limited budgets but my directors, Ani & Ritesh and their team worked very hard to give it a million-dollar look. I’m really happy to present their labour of love to the world and thank Zee Music for supporting this little project with a big heart.”

Ramzing, who has composed, sung and written this musical film of sorts, added,” A few months into the pandemic we were all getting tired of the lockdown, the social distancing, the masks, and all that. I asked my son, Siddharth, "So what are you going to do when this pandemic is over?". Without skipping a beat he said, "I'm gonna take off this mask and throw it in the can. I'm gonna go party when there's no more quarantine ban!" That was the inspiration, and that night I wrote the rest of the song.”

For the Director duo, Ritesh and Aniruddha, a chance to recreate pandemic life with humour was inspiring: “We felt that this was a perfect opportunity to create never before seen visuals that were unique yet relatable for our audiences. Also, it goes without saying that none of this would have been possible without the constant support of our amazing producer Abhishek Sharma (Writer-Director of Parmanu, Tere Bin Laden) who showed immense faith in our vision and backed us all the way.”

According to Aniruddha, who has also performed in this video:  “I got super excited when I got to know that I will be the one who will be acting in it because being a Michael Jackson fan since as long as I can remember, I always wanted to be a part of a music video where I get to dance, look into the camera and take a quick spin. So I got to do all that and much more.”
