The first song of Dharma Production's Student of the year 2, was launched at a recently held event in Mumbai. The release titled 'The Jawaani Song' is a tribute to Kishore Kumar's yesteryear super hot song, Yeh Jawaani.
Choreographed by Remo Dsouza, the song features the leads of the film Tiger Shroff, Ananya Panday, Tara Sutaria and Aditya Seal showing off their moves to the best.
Sharing her excitement of performing in her debut, Tara said, "When I was growing up, my parents would play the Bollywood classics. And today, it's a privilege to dance on this Kishore Kumar's popular number. I love singing this as well, and this one was special."
Adding his thought, Tiger added, "There was no pressure in performing this one, as we were only giving a tribute and not recreating the song. We never replaced the original song and offered our take, even on Kishore da's voice. Talking about the dance, I'll only say that I always try to come up with new moves for the audience. I thank the team for helping me dance and groove differently. It's a vicious cycle and I love it."
Ananya further added to the same and said, "It's impossible to match Tiger's moves. He is perfect and every take is superb. Although, he never makes us feel down when it comes to dancing. We were looking forward to dancing on this. We maintained Kishore da's voice and hence maintained the magic. It was a lot of fun."
Student of the year 2 (SOTY2) is a sequel of Dharma's previous release, Student of the year 1.
