Coronavirus pandemic has affected several festivals this year. A month back, in September, Maharashtra State Government asked the officials and associations to keep low-key celebrations for Ganeshotsav 2020. Observing the increasing number of cases, Maharashtra and Gujarat governments have cancelled on-ground Garba and Dandiya gathering for Navratri this year.
However, since everybody is equipped digitally, popular singers from Gujarat like Aishwarya Majumdar, Kirtidan Gandhvi, Jignesh Barot, Geeta Rabari and others have decided to perform LIVE, under the Virtual Navratri 2020 or Virtual Garba 2020 initiative. The aim of these LIVE garba and dandiya is to ensure all dance lovers enjoy the festival at home.
