Mumbai – The beneficiaries of government scheme would now be given cash instead of things to be given under various schemes. The government has given a green signal to this policy under which the concerned amount would be deposited in beneficiary’s bank account. This decision has been taken to weed out corruption and take maximum schemes to the common people. It is being observed that the blot of corruption is seen in things which are to be bought for the government schemes and those things do not even reach the last beneficiary. Hence, such bank transfer scheme would be started and accordingly such a machinery would be developed, said state finance minister Sudhir Mungantiwar. Presently, such money transfer would take place in 44 existing schemes of the state government and it would be implemented in other schemes in the future, he added.
