Maharashtra Environment and Tourism minister Aditya Thackeray on Wednesday met Congress leader Rahul Gandhi at latter’s residence in Delhi.
This is the first time that two leaders are meeting after the formation of Shiv Sena-led Maharashtra Vikas Aghadi Aghadi (MVA) government.
Shiv Sena along with Congress and Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) has formed government in Maharashtra under a Common Minimum Programme (CMP).
Earlier, Yuva Sena chief Aditya Thackeray had met Congress interim President Sonia Gandhi in Delhi before the swearing-in ceremony.
Aditya Thackeray is on a two-day visit to Delhi and had informed about the same on his social media handle. As per sources, during his meeting with Rahul Gandhi, Thackeray held discussions on several issues related to Maharashtra.

On Tuesday, Aditya Thackeray visited Facebook and Instagram headquarters in Delhi.
