Mumbai - Chief minister Devendra Fadnavis has delivered a googly at Nagpur that is to be hit at Mumbai. Fadnavis said that alliance for forthcoming municipal corporation elections is possible between the BJP and Shiv Sena only if the latter accepts the vision of BJP for Mumbai’s development. While unofficially talking to reporters in Nagpur, Fadnavis also expressed his displeasure over misrule in the BMC. The BJP had emerged as the single largest party in the megacity in State Assembly elections. Fadnavis mentioned about the increased strength of the BJP and indicated that his party would form an alliance with Shiv Sena if that party accepts BJP’s vision for Mumbai’s development. Fadnavis also said that the BMC does not carry out development works though its budget is huge and given an example of the MMRDA that carried out developmental works in less budgets. Looking at the forthcoming civic elections in the city, BJP and Shiv Sena leaders are targeting the other and give indications of fighting polls on their own. Now, how Shiv Sena reacts to this barb from the chief minister will be interesting to see.
