Amit Shah, president of Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) will be addressing the rally which will be held at Mumbai's Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC), on April 6, the Foundation Day of the state's ruling party, BJP. Along with the rally, the major agenda for Amit Shah will be, to conduct meetings with party officials, leaders, and workers.

The decision about Shah’s presence in the rally was taken at the meeting of state leaders and officials of BJP. Amit Shah will discuss the probable candidates for the seat in east Maharashtra post the resignation of BJP MP Nana Patole, and the need for Palghar bypoll due to death of sitting MP Chintaman Wanga.

However, the Election Commission has not yet declared the proper schedule for the bypolls.
