Dadar - Arun Joshi has been elected as president of the Swantantryaveer Savarkar Rashtriya Smarak for the seventh consecutive time while Savarkar's grandson Ranjit Savarkar has been elected as the executive president. The elections were held in a general meeting held on Monday, informed Rajendra Waradkar, election officer. Arun Joshi has done many exceptional work during his tenure as the president of this smarak samiti. Some of his notable works include construction of Swantantryaveer Savarkar auditorium, erection of Savarkar's statue at Port Blaire airport, translation of his books in 12 regional languages etc.
