Dahisar- BJP Mumbai president Ashish Shelar took at dig at Shiv Sena Chief Uddhav Thackeray without naming him, saying that despite the Shiv Sena ruling BMC for 20 years, the problems of Mumbaikars remain unsolved.

Shelar was speaking at a school function in Dahisar. Shelar also said that Uddhav Thackeray speaks about showing the party's strength, instead  they should perform rather than rant about their achievements.

Many people residing in Koliwada, are forced to go to the beach to relieve themselves as there is a shortage of public toilets in the area. He added that Mumbaikars don’t even get sufficient water and Shiv Sena leaders keep on challenging others. MLA Gopal Shetty who was also present at the event said that during elections, the differences between the two parties come alive and this does not portray a good picture about the alliance. He added that this should stop and both parties' cadres should synergise and win the BMC polls.
