Mumbai - MP Ashok Chavan took the central and state governments to task with a jibe, "Nation got Narendra, State got Devendra and people got poverty."
Prime minister Narendra Modi has taken the demonetisation decision to help companies like Mastercard and Visa, he quipped. Industrialists have got debt waiver of Rs 71 crore, while farmers have got nothing. On 8 January next year, the Congress party plans to protest against the 'note ban' imposed by the government. Chavan said the party's senior leaders would soon take a call on whether an alliance with other parties.
