Aslam Shaikh, who is the state textile minister for Maharashtra has tested positive for Coronavirus. He took to his Twitter on Monday morning to inform the same.
In his tweet, he also stated that he is asymptomatic and self-isolating himself. He has even urged people that have come in contact with him recently to get themselves tested.
This is to inform that I’ve tested positive for #COVID19. I’m currently asymtomatic and isolating myself.

While talking to Mumbai Live, Aslam Shaikh said, "I am currently at home and have no symptoms. I will be taking care of all my responsibilities from my home for now. People who have been working with me will also have to undergo Corona tests. Since I had been on the field so I had got myself tested as a precautionary measure and it turned out to be positive. But I feel completely healthy".
He is the fourth minister in the Maharashtra government to have tested positive for Coronavirus. The other three ministers are Jitendra Awhad, Ashok Chavan and Dhananjay Munde and all of them were able to make a complete recovery from this disease.
