BJP awards double bonus to turncoats
Mumbai – The BJP that claims to be the party with difference has distributed ticket for the BMC polls to the turncoats indicating the dearth of loyal candidates. The loyal and honest party workers are being denied tickets while turncoats are preferred and awarded party tickets for the crucial civic polls. At some places, the party has given a ‘double bonus’ to those who joined the party recently.
The BJP announced its final list of candidates in which MLAs and district presidents have given party tickets to their near and dear ones. Bablu Panchal and his wife Anil Panchal were given tickets from ward nos. 145 and 144 respectively. Two tickets were given in the family of former Shiv Sena MLA Suresh Gambhir who recently joined the BJP. Gambhir’s daughters, Shamal Beig and Sheetal Desai, were awarded tickets from ward nos. 189 and 190 respectively. Another turncoat, Makrant Narvekar who joined the party ahead of BMC polls was also given ticket from ward no. 227.
Not only this, his sister-in-law Harshita was also given a candidature from ward no. 228. Murji Patel, who deserted Congress for BJP, was also given ticket from ward no. 76 while his wife Keshriben Patel was given ticket from ward no. 81. Versova-based Dr Jayendra Gajendra Bhanji has been given ticket from ward no. 99 while his daughter, Dr Priya Bhanji, has been given ticket from ward no. 59.
