Churchgate – The race to the municipal elections has begun. Political parties are making use of all the platforms to promote themselves. BJP flags have been put up in the Hutatma Chowk, located at the heart of the old city.
BJP leaders appear to be busy promoting the party’s flag at any venue, irrespective of the place it is being unfurled on.
While concerned citizens are voicing their angst against this improper use of a public memorial, the BJP does not appear to be taking note.
PTI political bureau chief Vilas Tokle is the one who has clicked this evocative picture. It speaks volumes about the way political parties are busy taking credit for any work done in the city. This race is now reaching a climax with the elections looming large on the horizon.
