BJP launches ‘Invite CM’ app to woo voters

Mumbai – The Bharatiya Janata Party that has been aggressively using social media for its poll campaign, has launched an app christened ‘INVITE CM’.

The app, available on Google Play Store, displays the hologram of chief minister Devendra Fadnavis, and features a four minute long speech. This app works without the internet. “We have used ‘Augmented Integrated Reality’ in this app which is used for the first time in world. You must have heard of Pokeman GO, this game was used by using the augmented reality technology. In Augmented Reality technology, a 3D dimensional object is placed in real space but in the Augmented Integrated Reality one can see 6 feet person where in one can interact with the object and can take selfie as well. We have made a marker which one has to place and after downloading the app, one has to place the app on that marker, CM will appear and will speak in three languages,” says Mani Shankar, filmmaker, who has designed the app.

Shankar holds the Guinness record for conducting 55 minutes speech in 2012 in 53 places at the same time, along with prime minister Narendra Modi. “I feel proud that Narendra Modi and I made it to the Guinness world records for using innovative technology,” says Shankar.
