Senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Devendra Fadnavis has tested positive for the coronavirus. He was touring in the flood-affected parts of Maharashtra to take stock of the situation recently. Fadnavis, the election in-charge for Bihar, has also been rallying in the eastern state for the upcoming assembly elections.
“I have been working every single day since the lockdown but now it seems that God wants me to stop for a while and take a break! I have tested #COVID19 positive and in isolation. Taking all medication & treatment as per the advice of the doctors.” Fadnavis tweeted.

He also advised those who have come in contact with him to get themselves tested for COVID-19. Fadnavis has been campaigning in Bihar for the upcoming assembly elections which are scheduled to be held in three phases starting October 28.
The results for the assembly polls in Bihar will be declared on November 10.
