BJP leader Kirit Somaiya, recently, held a press conference in Mumbai and continued to lash out at Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray. While addressing the people, he made a sensational allegation against the CM for land sale scam, and said that the Thackeray government in the state is involved in the scam revolving around real estate plots.
Somaiya raised questions regarding the 9.35-acre land purchased by CM's wife, Rashmi and Sena leader Ravindra Waikar’s wife Manisha. He stated that the deal was signed six years ago and the land was bought from interior designer Anvay Naik, which has led to questions related to these families being involved in business with the designer.
Waiker, however, has rubbished the allegations and stated that the facts Somaiya is talking about have already been seen by the officials during the elections as they were mentioned in the submitted affidavits and IT returns. Accusing Somaiya, he added that this attempt is focused towards making an issue out of nothing.
Meanwhile, Somaiya claimed that in the last press conference he presented the documents related to the land parcels which shared information about the deal between Naik, his family members Akshata, Ajna Naik and Rashmi Uddhav Thackeray, Manisha Ravindra Vaikar. He added that the information is being shared by the people and he has more documents to present as well, claiming that in totality, 30 land transactions have happened between the entities and an additional of 10 transactions have happened with the Thackerays.
He insisted that the officials look into the matter and offer clarification regarding the same, further slamming the CM by asking him regarding the reason behind not making this deal public when the Naik case was reopened or why was it not mentioned anywhere if Naik faced financial difficulties.
Clarifying the reason behind this step, he stated that the allegations with evidence and Shiv Sena, neither has the answers for same, nor have the courage; hence they are being abusive about the matter. He challenged the party leaders to put him in jail if the documents prove to be incorrect.
Furthermore, he said that despite giving evidence about Mayor Kishori Pednekar, Uddhav Thackeray did not take action in this regards. MHADA has issued a notice to Anil Parab for the land scam; and if Sanjay Raut had the courage, he should go to the police station and take action.
Currently, the Maharashtra Police arrested the Editor-in-Chief of Republic TV, Arnab Goswami, and two others in the Anvay Naik suicide case for allegedly not repaying his money in crores.
