BJP leaders send out mixed signals

Mumbai- Alliance or not? BJP cadres are a confused lot with the higher ups in the party taking contradictory positions on public platforms.
While discussions on an alliance with the Shiv Sena are on at one level, some of the BJP leaders appear to be singing a different tune. At a state level meeting held in Thane on Thursday, party spokesperson and senior leader Madhu Chavan spoke about winning BMC elections on their own might. All this while BJP leaders Ashish Shelar, Vinod Tawde and Prakash Mehta are busy wheeling dealing for talks of alliance with Shiv Sena.
