On Thursday, BJP MP Raosaheb Danve Patil was present at Worli’s Jijamata Nagar’s to support the Bharatiya Janata Part candidate Navnit Pandey who is contesting from ward 197. During the meet, he claimed that the BJP will rule the BMC this time round.
“When local body elections were held in other parts of the state, I had announced that BJP would win without any efforts and it happened so. The presidents in 80 municipalities belong to the BJP. Initially, BJP had eight municipal president and now the number has gone up to 80. Also, the BJP had 240 corporators and now the number has gone up to 1207. In the last two years, BJP has gone from a strength of 8 to 80. The BJP is getting stronger by the day,” Danve Patil claimed.
He added that if the BJP gets its own mayor in Mumbai, the party will follow its manifesto and will provide sufficient water, better roads and solid waste management to Mumbaikars.
