BJP worker’s angst against party goes viral

SHARES

Andheri - Discontent has been simmering in the Bharatiya Janata Party( BJP) ranks in the city ever since they have detected a trace of favouritism in the way party tickets were handed out for the coming civic polls.

Party workers from Andheri are still sizzling with anger and discontentment as the party has given tickets from ward numbers  60 and 68 to the relatives of MLAs Amit Satam and Bharati Lavhekar. This anger has resulted in a video that takes on the high and mighty within the party and has naturally, gone viral on social media.

The video features local BJP office-bearer, Rajesh Mudgal, who has open said in the video that prime minister Narendra Modi is against giving tickets to the relatives of leaders while local MLAs are freely distributing tickets to their kin and all dedicated party workers should oppose this. "We are not bhakts but party commandos," he states categorically in the video, and calls upon fellow party workers to unite for the betterment of the party.

MLA Amit Satam’s brother-in-law Rohan Rathod and MLA Bharati Lavhekar’s nephew Yogiraj Dabholkar have been awarded tickets by the party for the BMC elections. How the party high command views this subtle revolt will be interesting to watch.
