Mumbai- Finance Minister Arun Jaitley presented the budget 2017 giving sops to salaried employees and rail commuters.


1. Mumbaikars can expect more housing
Mumbaikars are feeling a bit close to their dream of owning a house in Mumbai, after today’s Budget announcement in which Finance Minister Arun Jaitley had assured of building 1 crore houses under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojna (PMAY) for the homeless till 2019.

 

 

2. Railway friendly budget
Differently abled need not to worry as FM announced about 500 stations which will be differently abled. Rs. 1,31,000 cr has been allotted for the railways. A rail safety fund with a corpus of Rs 100,000 crore will be created over a period of 5 years, and steps will be taken to launch dedicated trains for pilgrimage and tourism.

 

3. FM Arun Jaitley steps towards Digitization

Among the many other announcements made by Jaitley on the Budget 2017-18 for various sectors, Jaitley encouraged ‘Digital Transactions’ started by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
