Opposition seeks special session to talk about farmers’ crisis

After the Uttar Pradesh Government waived farm loans, the opposition in the state has started pressurising Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis to grant the waiver for farmers in Maharashtra. The opposition parties Congress and NCP have demanded that should call a special session to discuss and take the decision on farmers’ loan waiver issue.

The leaders from the opposition will meet Governor Chennamaneni Vidyasagar Rao on Tuesday regarding the matter and will request him for a special session. After the meeting, Ramdas Kadam, State Minister of Environment stated that Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray is in favour of this session and want CM to consider the farmer loan waiver issue. Eknath Shinde, State Minister - PWD also supported the party and demanded a special session to talk about tur dal prices, farmer loan and much more.
