Candidature begins with change, literally
Mumbai- Demonetisation creates strange problems. And stranger solutions, it would appear.
RPI member and resident of Kurla's ward number 151, Vitthal Bhise wanted to fill up the party form to submit his candidature for contesting the forthcoming civic elections in the city. Short of the requisite cash, Bhise petitioned friends and family who offered him change for Rs 2000, which Bhise turned up with at the RPI office.
Bhise's form was accepted and the coins were accepted as well. But we believe the persons drafted to count up the coins were a tired lot at the end of the day.
