Change boring menu given to school kids

Mumbai – A demand for change in the menu served to students in municipal corporation school has been raised in the education committee meeting. The food items served to students include khichdi, rice and dal, moong khichdi which is boring. The students should be served Meduvada, Idli, Paavbhaji, Ghavne etc, it was demanded in the meeting. The BMC has appointed a committee of expert to decide on the menu to be served to students in municipal schools. A letter will be sent to the government after getting the recommendations of this committee. But students are given the food as described in the guiding principles in the concerned Act, informed education officer Mahesh Palkar. The corporators have asked the BMC administration to write a letter to the government in this regard. Congress corporator Priyatama Sawant raised this issue in the meeting.
