Will CM Devendra Fadnavis contest Maharashtra assembly election from Mumbai?

Amid the election preparations in Maharashtra, the political speculations suggest that Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis might contest the upcoming assembly elections from Mumbai. However, no official announcement has been made. 

At Present, CM Fadnavis is an MLA from Nagpur but the speculations suggest that he might contest election from an assembly seat in Mumbai. 

Ahead of the Maharashtra assembly elections which are scheduled later this year in October, all the political parties in the state have started to prepare for the same. However, the official date for the state elections has not been announced yet.

According to sources, some of the current elected MLAs from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the allied parties might not get a ticket in the upcoming assembly polls. Moreover, leaders from the opposition parties may also join BJP or Shiv Sena.
