Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Friday said that the bullet train project will help increase the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of India. While addressing the assembly, Fadnavis said that the current Mumbai-Ahmedabad Bullet train project will increase the income in this country.
Congress’ Sanjay Dutt raised questions on the Ahmedabad-Mumbai Bullet train project. To this, the Chief Minister replied that Mobility is for development. “There will be an increase in our development rate once the bullet train starts,” the CM said.
Chief Minister said that, for 50 years, the Japanese government will provide loans for the bullet train project at a half per cent rate and we don’t have to pay any interest for 20 years.
For Mumbai’s local trains, 40 thousand crores have been proposed in the budget. The money will be spent for safety and security of the passengers. The Chief Minister informed that the ticket price for the bullet train will be the same as the railway price.
The Chief Minister expressed his firm belief that the bullet train from Mumbai to Ahmedabad will be a reality.
