In Gudi Padwa Mela, MNS chief Raj Thackeray made personal criticism against Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and questioned his leadership. Four days after this, Chief Minister Shinde met Raj Thackeray on Sunday and tried to clear his displeasure. There was a discussion with Thackeray regarding the loudspeaker in the mosque and the CM said action will be taken as per rules.

Raj Thackeray strongly criticised Chief Minister Shinde in the Gudi Padwa Mela. During the Padwa Mela, Thackeray said a government that is dependent on court decisions is an unstable government, it is better the government organises midterm elections rather than such an unstable government. Also, the lighting done on electric lamps in Mumbai was compared to a dance bar. Also no party was able to handle Shiv Sena's bow and arrow symbol, Thackeray also demanded that action should be taken against the unauthorised constructions of the minority community in Mahim and Sangli, and also the removal of loudspeakers on mosques.

Though there is no official alliance or handshake with MNS, BJP is focusing on how to use Raj Thackeray against Uddhav Thackeray. In this background, Raj Thackeray's personal criticism of Chief Minister Shinde was surprising in the political circles.

The Shinde-Fadnavis government had removed unauthorised constructions in Mahim and Sangli within 24 hours after Thackeray's warning. But for the last four days, Shinde had not given any reply to Raj's criticism. But today he directly reached Shivtirth to meet Thackeray. Discussion was held between the two leaders for about an hour. During this visit, Raj Thackeray's wife Sharmila Thackeray, son Amit Thackeray, MLA Sada Saravankar along with some office bearers of MNS were present. There was no discussion about elections in this meeting. Also, the cases filed against the MNS workers in this movement will also be checked and then a decision will be taken. He clarified that no one will be wronged.
