Former Congresss man Vilas Rupawate is on a mission to cleanse the state. On Friday at 12:30 pm, the self avowed social worker held a campaign at Ramabai Nagar, exhorting people to help wipe out the Congress from Maharashtra.
Rupawate who is the president of the Maharashtra Mukt Congress campaign, said that the Congress has always exploited poor people in the guise of religion and caste. All those who have been exploited should now come together to throw out the oldest party in the country out of Maharashtra, he said.
The Congress was earlier known as the party of the poor but the 'Congress always neglected poor people'. In spite of ruling for many years, the Congress has not worked for their betterment, he said.
