Mumbai – The NCP was an active participant in the Akrosh rally organised by the Congress party leaders in the city on Monday, to protest the demonetisation drive announced by the BJP fronted government. City NCP chief Sachin Ahir was present in the rally as well. As soon as Congress workers started chanting slogans in favour of their leaders, infuriated NCP activists also raised slogans for their own leader, Sharad Pawar. This resulted into a heated atmosphere at the rally but Ahir managed to control his cadres. This incident has once again indicated the rift between the parties, although both profess undying love for each other, at least for now. Watch this space.
