On the eve of state cabinet meeting, opposition leaders took a press conference where LoP Radhakrishna Vikhe Patil and NCP MLC Dhananjay Munde heavily criticized the Shiv Sena and Bharatiya Janata Party government over farmer’s loan and farmer’s suicide.
“Shiv Sena and BJP are misusing their power and have been fooling people. They made people April fool in the month of March,” said Vikhe Patil. He added that Shiv Sena is faking about waiving off the farmer's loan and so farmers will never forgive the Sena party. “BJP has done a scam in irrigation and we will not spare them during a cabinet meeting,” said NCP MLC Munde. He further added that power has gone to BJP’s head.
On Sunday, NCP and Congress delegation met Maha Governor C. Vidyasagar Rao urging the state government to waive off the farmer's loan. They also alleged that BJP is giving assurances of waiving farmer’s loan in Uttar Pradesh but is avoiding the same in Maharashtra.
