Malad- Congress party workers are disappointed that they have not got tickets to contest for the upcoming BMC elections.
Some Congress party workers have been joining rival political parties as they are unable to see a future for themselves in the party.
Recently, corporator Parminder Bhamra joined the BJP, as he was not getting a ticket to contest for the upcoming civic polls. Many other Congress party workers who were expecting a ticket from the party but were upset as they didn’t get a ticket this time too. Sangeeta Koli whose name was considered for a ticket this time, didn’t get one and the new entrant Famida Sheikh was given a ticket instead of her. From ward 33, Om Kumavat’s name was also dropped from the candidates' list. It is said that a feeling of neglect is seen in the Congress party for the older party workers.
