Congress will emerge as a major political force in the upcoming elections: HK Patil

Although Shiv Sena and NCP have split, it was decided in the Congress Legislature Party meeting to fight unitedly as Maha Vikas Aghadi against BJP in Maharashtra. Congress today showed a show of unity while BJP is playing politics in Maharashtra. In-charge of the state HK Patil expressed the belief that Congress will emerge as a major political force in the upcoming elections.

Patil, Legislature Party Leader Balasaheb Thorat, Former Chief Ministers Ashok Chavan and Prithviraj Chavan, State President Nana Patole, Mumbai Congress President Prof. Varsha Gaikwad, along with almost all the MLAs of the Vidhan Sabha and Vidhan Parishad were present. Speaking to the media after the meeting HK. Patil said that an unconstitutional government is in power in Maharashtra and the issue of disqualification has not been decided yet. People of Karnataka have made BJP sit at home.

In Maharashtra, some MLAs first left Uddhav Thackeray and now Sharad Pawar, but both these leaders still have huge public support. We are united as Maha Vikas Aghadi and will fight unitedly and efficiently against BJP. There is a big alliance of opposition parties against the Modi government in the country. Seeing the growing strength of the opposition, the BJP is divided. The BJP is working to break the opposition party out of depression. When politics of violence is going on in Maharashtra, the Congress party stands united and strong and has shown what party loyalty is. The meeting was attended by 39 MLAs of the Legislative Assembly, the MLAs who were absent had already given us an idea of it.

Timely decision on Leader of Opposition

There was no discussion regarding the post of Leader of Opposition in this meeting. But at the right time, a decision will be taken after discussing it with all concerned, informed Patil.
