Despite the defeat in the Lok Sabha elections, no changes will be made in the state BJP, the central leadership of the party clarified on Tuesday. Therefore, it has been highlighted that Devendra Fadnavis, who demanded to be released from the responsibility of Deputy Chief Minister, will remain in that position. In this meeting, it was decided to correct the mistakes made during the Lok Sabha and face the Legislative Assembly.


In the presence of Union Home Minister Amit Shah and party president JP Nadda, a meeting of state BJP leaders was held at the BJP headquarters in New Delhi to prepare for the upcoming assembly elections. Union Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal, Fadnavis, State President Chandrashekhar Bawankule, Chandrakant Patil, Ashish Shelar, Pankaja Munde, Sudhir Mungantiwar and other leaders were present on this occasion.

Goyal said after the meeting that no changes will be made in the state BJP. It is clear that Fadnavis, who expressed his desire to quit the government and focus on party work after the failure in the Lok Sabha elections, will continue as the Deputy Chief Minister till the upcoming assembly elections. Bawankule will continue as the state president. 


A review was made on what strategy to plan for the assembly. Fadnavis also clarified that seat sharing discussions will be started with the constituent parties of the Mahayuti. He also expressed the belief that the central leadership stands strongly behind Maharashtra BJP and will win the assembly elections.
