CST - The OBC Sangharsh Samanvay Samiti, while addressing a press conference at the Mumbai Marathi Patrakar Sangh, has said that it is against the election of upper caste people in the other backward class (OBC) category.
If the authorities don't pay heed to their appeal, the Samiti will protest against it, said Chandrakant Bavkar, Samiti president. "We are not against Maratha reservation, but providing them reservation from OBC quota is uncalled for," Samiti vice president Damodar Tandel said. "PM Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis spent Rs 24 crores of tax payers' money in the bhoomipujan programme of the Shivaji Memorial. We are in full support of impeaching Vinayak Mete, the head of the Shiv Sangram party," he said.
