On this occasion, another leader of the Thackeray group has come under the arrest of ED. Earlier, ED had raided the houses of Thackeray group leaders Sanjay Raut and Anil Parab. Among these, Sanjay Raut was arrested by ED and he had to stay in jail for about three months. After this, Ravindra Waikar’s name remained in discussion continuously. Before Ravindra Waikar, ED had investigated. BJP leader Kirit Somaiya had made several allegations of financial misappropriation against Ravindra Waikar.

Somaiya had said that Uddhav Thackeray and Ravindra Waikar have business interests. Somaiya had also warned several times that Ravindra Waikar would soon go to jail. However, no concrete action was taken against him. However, today the ED team has taken the first step towards decisive action by raiding Waikar house.
