Eknath Khadse gets interim protection until February 3

The decision was given by the Bombay High Court on Thursday which adjourned the hearing on Khadse's plea. Until then, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) has maintained its assurance that strict action will not be taken.

Senior NCP leader Eknath Khadse, on Thursday, January 28, 2021, was granted relief till February 3, 2021, in the Bhosari land misappropriation case. As per reports, he has been granted interim protection from arrest for one week.

The decision was given by the Bombay High Court on Thursday which adjourned the hearing on Khadse's plea. Until then, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) has maintained its assurance that strict action will not be taken.

The next hearing on the petition filed by Eknath Khadse at the High Court was scheduled for January 28, 2021, and Khadse will not be arrested till then. The information was given by the ED lawyers at the Court. 

It is said that the relief was earlier given until January 28, 2021, however, the hearing in the case was adjourned, extending the same to February 3.

Moreover, the court is hearing Khadse's petition seeking the quashing of the case filed against him by the ED. The directorate had issued summons to Eknath Khadse with regards to the land purchase case at Bhosari MIDC in Pune. Responding to the same, Khadse said that he has not received the summons, and would only be able to answer all the questions after he receives the same.
